Somebody from this group stopped me in the Wilk and gave me a flyer for this Thursday’s event. I’ve been wanting to learn more about Linux for some time now, so I decided I’d check it out. Maybe I’ll see you there.

It’s good to see more business types pimping Linux these days. It’s pretty enabling –especially for startups.
There’s no way I’d be doing the online business stuff I’m working on now without some Linux experience. The costs would just be too prohibitive, plain and simple.

I’m all about keeping startup costs as close to zero as possible, and Linux is a means to that end — therefore I’m all about Linux.

P.S. For personal desktop computing, I probably won’t leave Windows for a while (though I plan to virtualize a Linux machine within Windows to get the features & practice & open-source software that’s available)
